SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
PROMS2025 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
General Information
- PROMS2025 invites two types of submissions: (1) Abstract and (2) Extended Abstract submissions. The presentation format is oral presentation consisting of 15-20 minute presentation and 5 minute Q&A. Submission is open to all academics, professionals and students.
- The 2025 PROMS will be conducted in Singapore. No virtual presentations will be permitted.
- All submissions will be anonymised for peer review.
- Submissions should be original work that has not been published or presented at a professional meeting previously.
- Individual and multiple authors are welcome to contribute. An individual can be first author of at most two submissions. There is no limit on individuals being co-authors of the submissions.
- All submissions must be written in English.
- The submission deadline is 30 April 2025, 11:59PM Singapore Time (SGT). No late submissions will be accepted.
- Notifications of acceptance or rejection of Abstract and Extended Abstract submissions to be received by 15 May 2025. Once accepted, at least one of the authors must register and present at PROMS2025. Accepted abstracts will be published online (https://proms2025.com/programme/conference).

Abstract Submission Guidelines
- All abstract submissions must address the following five elements:
- Objectives: The main purpose of the study should be clearly explained.
- Conceptual Framework: Relevant theories or perspectives should be described. Research questions and/or hypotheses (if applicable) should be explicitly specified.
- Methods: The research methods should be clearly documented, which may include the following information (as applicable):
- Sample
- Instruments
- Data sources and/or data collection procedure
- Data analysis techniques
- Results: The major findings of the study should be discussed.
- Conclusions: The significance of the study, implications, and limitations should be discussed.
- Word limit for abstract:
- 15 words or fewer for the title
- 300 to 350 words for the abstract (excluding title, keywords and reference list)
- Submissions of theoretical or methodological nature are to include the equivalent of Elements 3 and 4 (i.e., Methods and Results) that are appropriate for the type of work.
- Submissions should include five keywords to describe the study. Keywords are not part of the word limit specified above.
- Notifications of acceptance or rejection of Abstract submissions to be received by 15 May 2025.
- All Abstracts should only be submitted via our online system.
Extended Abstract Submission Guidelines
- Submissions of Extended Abstract will be considered for (1) oral presentations at PROMS2025, and (2) Distinguished Student Scholarship Award(s).
- The best Extended Abstract will be selected and awarded the Distinguished Student Scholarship. Multiple awards may be available.
- The Distinguished Student Scholarship consists of a stipend of SGD1500 to cover travel, accommodation and conference registration fee for PROMS2025. The Distinguished Student Scholarship award(s) will be made based on eligibility, the strength of the faculty recommendation, and the quality of the submitted extended abstract.
- To be considered for the Distinguished Student Scholarship, applicants should fulfil the following additional requirements:
- Eligibility: Applicants must be current students who are enrolled full-time in a doctoral programme in measurement or assessment (or a closely related field) in an institute of higher learning (IHL, e.g., university, college, etc.) located in Southeast Asia (excluding Singapore).
- Curriculum vitae (CV): Applicants should submit a CV. Refer to the CV_template.
- Letter from a faculty advisor/supervisor: Applicants should obtain and submit a recommendation letter from their faculty advisors/supervisors. The recommendation letter should attest to an applicant’s eligibility and merits for the Distinguished Student Scholarship. The faculty advisor/supervisor should sign and date the recommendation letter and provide contact information (email address, postal address, and phone number).
- All Extended Abstract submissions should include all five elements as described in Abstract Submission Guidelines.
- Word limit for Extended Abstract:
- 15 words or fewer for the title
- 1200-1500 words for the Extended Abstract (excluding title, keywords and reference list)
- Submissions should include five keywords to describe the study. Keywords are not part of the word limit specified above.
- The Extended Abstract together with all required supporting documents (i.e., CV and recommendation letter) should be sent to proms@suss.edu.sg.
- Notifications of acceptance or rejection of Extended Abstract submissions to be received by 15 May 2025. Notifications of decisions for the Distinguished Student Scholarship award(s) to be received by 20 May 2025.
